The COVID-19 pandemic brought many economic disasters worldwide by shutting down many leading automobile manufacturers. The pandemic badly affected small businesses and changed the automobile manufacturers and shipments in many big companies.
However, just before the beginning of the virus outbreak, the British automaker, known as the Land Rover, launched their new four-wheeled vehicles. The name of this new SUV was Defender. However, the production of this vehicle was discontinued due to the pandemic when the company was forced to maintain safety regulations and preventive measures against the virus.
Land Rover has recently heard that they are again starting the large vehicle production, which was disturbed in 2019. The production will continue in the different manufacturing plants of the company around the world, including the plant located in the Slovakian region where this vehicle was initially made.
The company had the vehicle carry out a very difficult off-road test, known as the Van Zyl’s pass. The track of Van Zyl is located in Namibia, and the road of such test is the highest in the country, measuring about 968 meters above sea level. This test brings about many challenges and risks, and passing this test is not quite easy.
The vehicle passed the test by showing a wide variety of great performance in climbing low-range rocks, descending the massive dunes, and traveling at high speed through mud and gravel. The main reason for putting the vehicle through such a test was to prove to journalists worldwide that this vehicle is not just any ordinary off-roader but is more than that and can face severe and extreme difficulties on the road. That is how its name Defender was suggested.
The test driver complimented the vehicle after the three-day extreme abuse trial and said nothing had malfunctioned or broken in this vehicle after going through such a difficult test.
After seeing such a great vehicle performance, the luxury it brings throughout the journey is exceptional. It can be concluded that the automobile may be a great fit for the Namibian roads, which are not so pleasant in terms of comfort and driving.
By watching the vehicle's performance on the dangerous track, many Namibian buyers have interested their money in the vehicle. The vehicle will quickly gain market attention due to the interest of many buyers in the SUV. We may also expect to see an increase in the price of the automobile due to the increase in the market value.
